1953 HUDSON "Hornet 7C convertible Brougham" Owned by William Albright Collection Engine: L-head 6 cyl. Hudson made a dramatic entry into racing in the fifties, capturing 35 of 53 competitions entered in 1953. A special 7-X engine, rated at a speculative 200 h.p., rocketed in Hudson part 22 checkered flags at NASCAR races alone. The very rare and beautiful car you see before you was owned by Pennsylvania Hudson dealer Walter Chapman, who took it off the showroom floor and kept it until his death in 1988. William Albright purchased it from Chapman's widow. Walt Chapman had himself been very involved in racing, having campaigned # 120 NASCAR stockcar which was driven by Dick Rathmann. This automobile stands out in the already outstanding collection of Hudsons owned by Bill Albright. To the best of Albright's knowledge, there are only five of these beauties still existing.
