in his Superleggera method. The car participated at the "24 heures du Mans" in
1938. It was in first position when it had to give up. It was a shame because
the car should have easily won: when it gave up the second car was 14 laps (14!)
behind it.
1932 8C 2300 91kB, One of Vittorio Jano's masterpieces:
the Alfa Romeo 8C 2300, a model that
had many race victories, including
four in a row at LeMans, from 1931
to 1934.
This 1932 car was bodied by Touring.

bargain sports car and formed the
basis for a number of specials.
It was an adaptation of an 1100 cc
light car, yet dominated its class
in racing.
As neat and nimble in its day as the
little Xl/9 is today.
1953 8V coupé Savonuzzi This car was designed by Savonuzzi (formerly with Cisitalia). This style later
became the Supersonic body style and appeared on Aston Martin and Alfa Romeo
chassises. From the Fiat based prototype spawned a small series of 50. The car was first
show on the Ghia stand at the 1953 Paris Salon.
1930 Lancia DiLambda 71kB, Restrained coachwork from Stabilimente Farina
tends to obscure the advanced design of this
late model (1930) Lancia DiLambda , the first
car with integral construction of chassis
and basic body. The original version of the
Lambda had been introduced back in 1922.
